Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a positive patient experience. You will work within a collaborative radiology team to ensure accurate exams, safety, and patient comfort during CT procedures.

The role requires ARRT CT and Radiography certifications, ARRT-R, and BLS. Night shift with sign-on and relocation support is offered to eligible candidates, across a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capturing quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Disinfect and restock rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical histories and verify orders with two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Accredited Radiologic Technology program

1 year experience in Radiology

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
