Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time night shift to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and support a positive patient experience. Technologists are valued clinical professionals within a collaborative care team.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certifications in Radiography and CT, and at least 1 year of radiology experience, plus BLS. Relocation and sign-on incentives are offered where eligible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capturing quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely, maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA principles.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two unique patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat/correct if needed.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
