Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and support a positive patient experience at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia.

Role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, 1 year radiology experience, and ARRT-R/CT with BLS. Join a collaborative care team dedicated to compassionate service and professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology is required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, maintaining ALARA principles.
• Maintain infection control and report equipment issues promptly.
• Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and ensure patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol and use sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers and shielding as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies as required.
• Support department workflow and comply with regulatory requirements.
