Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist for Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia. The role delivers safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience within a collaborative care team.

You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain documentation while adhering to ALARA principles. This position emphasizes careful scanning, infection control, and effective communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography).
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operation of imaging or radiographic equipment independently while maintaining ALARA.
• Maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and ensure patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients using AIDET; reduce anxiety and ensure comfort.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
