Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality CT imaging and a supportive patient experience. The role supports a collaborative care team, adheres to ALARA principles, and ensures patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures.

The Technologist will perform CT exams, administer contrast per protocol, maintain equipment, and document results in RIS/PACS as part of a coordinated radiology service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology is required
• ARRT-R certification (Radiography) is required
• ARRT-CT certification (Computed Tomography) is required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) is required

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA to minimize dose
• Disinfect, clean, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers
• Explain procedures and post-care clearly using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture technique
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies as needed
• Organize daily workflows to support department flow and compliance

Education
