Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to perform CT procedures, deliver high‑quality imaging, and provide compassionate patient care. The role emphasizes patient safety, ALARA principles, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

As part of the Wellstar radiology team, you will operate CT equipment, ensure accurate documentation in RIS/PACS, and participate in infection control and patient education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R certification required (Radiography).
• ARRT-CT certification required (Computed Tomography).
• BLS certification for Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA standard.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and complete final documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist with life‑support equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflows to support department efficiency and accuracy in charging/clerical tasks.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
