Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will work as part of a collaborative radiology team and play a key role in maintaining imaging accuracy and patient care.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT credentials, a radiologic technology program completion, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. This full-time position offers benefits, sign-on eligibility, and relocation assistance for eligible

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography)
• ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Maintain infection control; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep and post-care using AIDET; address patient questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout the visit.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat/correct as needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage study transfers as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist with crash cart readiness.
• Organize daily workflow and support department operations and compliance.
