Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist in North Carolina to perform CT scanning, verify orders with radiologists, and ensure patient safety. The role involves coordinating with nursing staff, preparing patients, and documenting procedures in the radiology system.

The position requires ARRT/NMTCB CT certification within one year and BLS. Expect 40 hours per week, with on-call and holiday rotation, in a hospital CT department at Lake Norman.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry required within 1 year; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests, verify orders, and refer discrepancies to Radiologist.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and prepare them with explanations of procedures.
• Review medical history and correlate test results with the performed exam.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Report equipment malfunctions and follow radiation safety guidelines.
• Rotate shifts and participate in on-call, holidays, and weekend coverage.
