Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT technologist to verify orders, prepare patients, and perform CT scans with radiologist support. You will document histories, ensure quality imaging, and maintain strict radiation safety standards.

The role requires ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB, CT registry within one year, and BLS. Schedule includes 40 hours weekly with on-call and holiday rotation, in a facility within the Atrium Health system.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within 1 year.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests, verify orders, and query discrepancies with the radiologist.
• Identify patients and prepare them for CT procedures with clear explanations.
• Review EMRs for pertinent history and document findings on requisitions.
• Perform CT scans and assist radiologist/PA during procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety and proper sterile technique; manage contrast administration.
• Rotate shifts, on-call, holidays and weekends; follow attendance policies.
