Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient-centered care. The role operates within a collaborative radiology team to perform CT procedures, ensure safety, comfort, and accurate documentation throughout patient visits.

Eligible candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and ARRT certifications in Radiography and CT, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent completed.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certification in radiography and CT per ARRT requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and apply ALARA to minimize dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, screen contraindications, and verify orders with two identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and adjust as needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and handle transfers/retrieval as required.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock life-support equipment.
