Job summary

Ochsner Health System Careers seeks a CT Technologist to perform routine CT procedures and mentor junior staff, ensuring safety and quality. The role involves patient communication, image review, and adherence to regulatory standards in a dynamic radiology setting.

The position offers a 7-on/7-off shift pattern (6pm–6am) with opportunities for professional certification advancement and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Must hold BLS certification and ARRT radiography credentials.
• NMTCB certification and CT certification preferred/required within two years.
• Current unrestricted state license in the practice state.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and performs CT imaging according to protocol.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Operates imaging equipment and ensures diagnostic-quality images.
• Maintains regulatory quality control and supports departmental operations.
• Adapts to patient needs and maintains confidentiality.
