Job summary

Intermountain Health's Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO is seeking a CT Technologist who maintains ARRT competency and operates CT equipment to produce high quality images. The role requires patient care, safety, and education within a 36-hour weekly schedule (three 12-hour shifts, Mon-Wed 12:00pm-12:30am).

The successful candidate will have ARRT CT certification, BLS, state licensure, IV competency, and experience in hospital CT settings.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification required at hire (for Level I) and current CT registration (Level II)
• BLS certification within 60 days (Level I) or 90 days (Level II)
• State licensure to practice CT required at hire
• IV competency within 90 days required
• 1-2 years CT experience in a hospital setting preferred (Level I)
• 3 years CT experience required (Level II)
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation safety important

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within time limits without compromising care or image quality.
• Provide patient education and address patient/family concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and inform other providers after the procedure.
• Stay updated with CT technology and participate in continuing education.
• Instruct students and other radiology staff in protocols and positioning.
