Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon Hire, Required
• Certified Computed Tomography Technologist - ARRT (R)(CT), Preferred
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 days, Required
• Licensure in state of practice as applicable, Upon Hire, Required
• IV Competency within 90 Days, Required
• For caregivers hired in Colorado, Fluoroscopy certification, Preferred
• 1-2 years Work Experience CT in hospital setting, Preferred
• Current ARRT (R) (CT) registration (Level II)
• Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience (Level II)

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images
• Ensure proper patient identification and order verification
• Perform exams per department protocol
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines
• Complete studies within time expectations without compromising care
• Provide patient education and comfort
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with care providers
• Stay updated with CT technology and protocols
• Instruct students and other radiology technologists in protocols
