Job summary

Ochsner Health’s St. Mary facility seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures in accordance with safety protocols. This PRN role mentors junior staff and students and supports flexible weekend and evening shifts.

Required: ARRT CT certification or registry eligible within 90 days, completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program, current state license, and BLS. Preferred CT certification and experience with CT procedures; strong data entry and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRT CT certification or registry eligible within 90 days of employment is required/acceptable.
• Current state license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician order and procedure for accuracy.
• Operate CT imaging equipment according to protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Maintain image quality and perform quality control procedures.
• Assist in department operations and staffing needs.
• Adhere to safety and confidentiality requirements.
