Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans seeks a CT Radiologic Technologist to perform routine computed tomography procedures, ensure radiation safety, and mentor junior staff. You will verify orders, operate CT equipment, and review images for diagnostic quality while adhering to regulatory standards.

Required radiologic technology training with CT certification; ARRT CT registry eligible or certified; BLS. Travel may be involved and flexibility is needed to support patient care across facilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• CT experience preferred and required certifications as stated.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates imaging equipment to complete CT procedures per protocol.
• Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Performs timely quality control procedures and notifies/remediates as needed.
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapts communication and approach to diverse patient populations and settings.
• Performs other related duties as required.
