Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT exams per ARRT standards and department policies. You will ensure high-quality scans, operate CT equipment, and support radiologists during invasive procedures while maintaining efficient workflow.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in radiology, CT experience preferred, and must hold MRT certification with Texas and current BLS; ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications are required within 6 months of CT assignment.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting.
• One year experience performing CT procedures - preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of courses in computed tomography (CT) and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.
• Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (R)).
• Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (CT)) within 6 months of CT assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams in accordance with standards and policies.
• Produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality across age groups.
• Operate CT scanner and related equipment efficiently.
• Complete quality scans timely and manage workflow to meet STAT/urgent demands.
• Assist Radiologist during invasive procedures and ensure availability of supplies.
• Ensure CT and department equipment are functioning properly.
