Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX, is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans and radiographic exams following ARRT, ACR, and Texas Medical Board standards. You will ensure patient care, imaging quality, and accurate documentation, while prioritizing exams and maintaining safety protocols.

Requirements include XR Technologist experience in acute care, MRT certification with TMB, ARRT in Radiology and CT, and BLS certification. Prior CT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting
• One year experience performing CT procedures – preferred
• Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology
• Completion of courses in computed tomography (CT) and cross‑sectional anatomy
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
• Certified in Radiology by ARRT (R)
• Certified in CT by ARRT (CT) within 6 months of CT assignment

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques
• Verify written orders match requisition prior to performing exam
• Follow appropriate protocol for the exam ordered
• Administer contrast material using proper technique
• Enter appropriate charges and reviews for accuracy
• Correlate patient’s clinical history with procedure; ensuring information is documented and available for the radiologist
• Manage patient flow to ensure exams are prioritized appropriately and performed efficiently

Education

Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology

Completion of courses in CT and cross‑sectional anatomy

Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB)

Certified in Radiology by ARRT (R)

Certified in CT by ARRT (CT) within 6 months of CT assignment
