Job summary

St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT exams in accordance with ARRT standards and department policies. You will image neonatal to geriatric patients, ensure radiation safety, and maintain documentation.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, MRT and ARRT certifications, CT certification within 6 months, and BLS. Prior CT experience is preferred; hospital setting experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Completion of CT and cross-sectional anatomy coursework.
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Current BLS certification per policy.
• ARRT (R) certification in Radiology.
• ARRT (CT) certification within 6 months of CT assignment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanner and related equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Produce scans of diagnostic quality across neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Follow established scanning and viewing protocols.
• Complete quality scans in a timely manner and manage workflow to meet STAT/urgent demands.
• Assist Radiologist during invasive procedures and ensure required supplies.
• Ensure CT and department equipment are functioning properly.
• Complete required documentation on forms, logs, and Meditech.

Education

Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology

Completion of courses in computed tomography (CT) and cross-sectional anatomy

Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB)

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy

Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT CT) within 6 months of CT assignment

One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting

One year experience performing CT procedures - preferred
