Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is expanding its Emergency Department and recruiting CT technologists. You will perform CT exams under radiologist supervision, with room for independent judgment and a focus on patient safety in a high-volume ED setting.

The role requires ARRT RT(R) or NMTCB certification, BLS, and the ability to obtain CT designation within 12 months. Eligible degrees and rigorous clinical training prepare you for fast-paced trauma imaging.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Radiography program accredited by ARRT acceptable mechanism.
• One year of general radiography experience preferred.
• Currently registered as an RT(R) with ARRT or NMTCB certification.
• Must obtain CT designation within 1 year of hire or from ARRT/NMTCB.
• BLS certification from AHA or obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
• Execute diverse CT procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.
