Job summary

Atrium Health Providence Emergency Department is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging per protocols and safety standards. You will support radiologists, manage IV contrast, and participate in emergency procedures as needed.

The role requires ARRT/NMTCB certification with CT registry within one year and BLS. On-site position with rotations and readiness for emergencies in a busy ED setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests, verify orders, and consult Radiologist on discrepancies.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures clearly.
• Interview patients for medical history and review EMR for pertinent data.
• Operate CT scanners and related equipment per protocols.
• Administer IV contrast per department protocols and document details.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Assist in sterile technique and participate in code blue procedures when needed.
