Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a positive patient experience at Cobb Hospital. You will perform CT procedures, ensure safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care in a busy radiology department.

Qualified candidates have ARRT-CT and ARRT-R credentials, BLS, and at least 1 year in Radiology. This role offers a competitive pay, shift incentives, and opportunities for education through Wellstar CareerCare.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and maintain diagnostic quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and use ALARA for dose management.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast with venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help restock equipment.
• Organize daily workflows and support department flow; maintain compliance.
