Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will be a respected member of a collaborative care team within Wellstar’s health system.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT credentials, 1 year radiology experience, and an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Enjoy a full-time day shift with sign-on potential and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography).
• Certifications: ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, using technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique where applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS.
