Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Radiology Department and perform CT imaging, patient coordination, and contribute to inpatient and outpatient care. The role involves assisting with CT-guided procedures and educating patients about examinations.

The ideal candidate is ARRT registered, graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, holds an Ohio Radiographer License, and possesses BLS certification, with cross-training opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.
• Preferred: One year related experience and ARRT CT credential.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality CT images in a variety of settings.
• Assists with CT guided procedures including biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations.
• Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients.
• Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain understanding and comfort.
• Functions well under stress and with minimal supervision.
• Works well independently and as part of the CT team.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program

ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment

Ohio Radiographer License (ODH)

American Heart Association BLS Certification
