Job summary

Atrium HealthSouthPark Emergency Department, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform CT exams and operate scanners in a busy emergency setting. The role requires adherence to departmental protocols and superior patient care.

You will work with Radiologists, administer IV contrast, and ensure safety for patients and staff. The position entails shift rotations, including call-back, holidays, and weekends, with opportunities to contribute to high-level

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB; CT registry within one year of hire.
• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners per department protocols and standards.
• Verify orders with Radiologist and assist in exam preparation.
• Prepare patients for procedures and document procedures performed.
• Administer IV contrast according to protocol and record usage.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection control practices.
• Rotate shifts, including on-call, holidays, and weekends.
• Assist Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures when required.
