Job summary

Atrium Health Ballantyne Emergency Department is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and supporting equipment with strong proficiency. You will prepare patients, verify orders, and collaborate with Radiology staff to ensure accurate imaging and documentation.

Responsibilities include IV contrast administration, maintaining image quality, and following radiation safety protocols. Shifts may include call back, holidays, and weekends as part of a 24/7 ED team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized radiologic program.
• ARRT Radiology or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine with CT registry required within 1 year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before performing exams.
• Identify patient, explain procedures, and document
• Review EMR for pertinent history and correlate results with exam.
• Perform CT exams and ensure image quality; discuss with Radiologist as needed.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and document details.
• Maintain radiation safety and operate radiology systems.
• Rotate shifts, on-call, holidays and weekends.
