Job summary

Atrium Health Mountain Island Emergency Department is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform CT procedures, operate scanners, and assist Radiologists in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, preparing patients, documenting procedures, and maintaining safety standards. Must have ARRT/NMTCB credentials and BLS, with willingness to work varied shifts and call duty.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or NMTCB program.
• ARRT Radiology or NMTCB CT registration within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist and clarify discrepancies.
• Identify patient using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Obtain complete medical history and review EMR as needed.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA; maintain sterile technique.
• Operate radiology computer system; document contrast administration.
• Maintain work area, ensure stock and assist in emergencies.

Education

Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or NMTCB program (Radiology/Nuclear Medicine)
