Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-CT and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely; maintain lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Disinfect rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two unique patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol; venipuncture when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; support department flow.
• Follow regulatory requirements; complete charging/clerical tasks; elevate issues to supervisor.
