Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care within a collaborative radiology team.

You will perform CT procedures, maintain ALARA standards, and ensure safe patient experiences while documenting results in RIS/PACS. The role requires radiologic training, ARRT certifications, and at least one year of radiology experience in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT–R certification for Radiography and ARRT-CT for Computed Tomography.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Complete accurate documentation in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock equipment as required.
