Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to minimize dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two unique patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed; finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department operations.
