Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Douglas Hospital. Technologists are valued clinical professionals within a collaborative care team and contribute to safe imaging and patient well‑being.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, clear communication, infection control, and accuracy in imaging documentation and workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARR-CT certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients using AIDET; minimize anxiety and ensure comfort.
