The CT Technologist at Wellstar Douglas Hospital applies their expertise to deliver safe, high-quality CT imaging and a supportive patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. BLS is required. You will work Thursday, Friday and alternating weekends with a 2:30 pm–3:00 am schedule, and qualify for benefits and education programs.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Mansioni

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, maintaining diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals and related tasks.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows and collaborate with teams to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance; keep areas orderly, transport patients safely, and escalate issues when needed.
