Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will join Douglas Hospital’s clinical team, applying expertise in computed tomography and radiographic technique while ensuring safety and comfort for every patient.

Requirements include ARRT radiography and CT certifications, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. This full-time role offers a structured schedule and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsabilidades

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET and address questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and release patients appropriately.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate to support department flow.
• Support operations/compliance, keep areas stocked, transport patients, complete administrative tasks, and escalate issues to supervisor.
