Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT. You will perform CT procedures under Radiologist direction, ensure image quality, manage PACS, and support patient-centered care across the imaging team.

Requirements include ARRT CT certification, ARRT general radiography, Connecticut license, and CPR. An AS in Radiologic Technology is required; BS is preferred. 6 months to 1 year CT experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from AMA approved radiologic technology program and ARRT Certification.
• Connecticut State License and CPR Certification required.
• AS degree required; BS preferred for Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality and efficient radiographic examinations for radiologist review.
• Operate CT scanners and related equipment for diagnostic imaging.
• Verify orders and ensure proper documentation and PACS allocation.
• Maintain equipment, cleanliness and patient safety during exams.
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear procedure explanations.
• Assist in scheduling exams and maintaining departmental workflows.
• Collaborate with teaching technologists and students as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cytology and cross-sectional anatomy relevant to CT.
