Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, seeks a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic exams and support patient-centered care. You will verify orders, operate imaging equipment, and maintain a clean, safe exam room while delivering compassionate service.

Required: AS degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT RT(R) certification, CT if applicable, CT license in CT area, and CPR certification. Proficiency with CR/digital imaging and PACS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• AS degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• ARRT RT(R) certification and Connecticut license.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic examinations following approved protocols.
• Verifies physician's order on requisitions 100% of the time.
• Operates radiographic equipment to ensure proper image quality.
• Prepares examination room for safe, clean environment and supplies.
• Provides compassionate patient care and explains procedures.
• Maintains accurate records and supports department goals.
• Chaperones patients as needed and promotes patient satisfaction.
