Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, is hiring a CT Technologist to perform CT exams with advanced imaging protocols and patient-centered care. You will work under the supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager to deliver high-quality CT images for radiologist interpretation.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of CT experience, ARRT certification with CT credential, Connecticut license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program; AS or BS degree preferred.
1–3 years CT experience with routine imaging techniques.
ARRT(R) certification required; CT certification required or 20 years CT experience.
Connecticut State License required; CPR Certification preferred.
Proficient in advanced CT imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy; good organizational and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Uses technical skill and knowledge of cross-section anatomy to perform CT exams using appropriate imaging protocols, independently and efficiently.
Assists with scheduling, requisitions, pre-authorization, patient preparation, and exam communications.
Explains procedures and ensures patient comfort and safety.
Relays information to radiologists and staff to minimize errors during shift changes.
Operates CT scanners with age and dose-appropriate protocols; performs daily warm-up and QA checks.
Participates in teaching and learning opportunities within the department.
