Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale NewHaven Health, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with age-appropriate protocols. Under the Diagnostic Radiology Manager, you will operate imaging equipment and ensure quality images for radiologist interpretation.

The role requires ARRT RT(R) certification, Connecticut license, CPR certification, and proficiency in CR/digital imaging and PACS.

Qualifications

Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
AS degree required.
ARRT RT(R) certification and state license.
CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

Performs quality and efficient diagnostic radiographic examinations using appropriate protocols and age-specific standards.
Operates radiographic equipment to ensure proper technical results.
Prepares examination room to ensure a clean and safe environment with adequate supplies.
Performs quality and compassionate patient care, ensuring patient cooperation, safety, and satisfaction.
Maintains accurate record-keeping and communicates feedback to improve department operations.
Participates in teaching and learning opportunities to expand knowledge.
Strives to achieve patient satisfaction scores as outlined in department goals.
Chaperones patients when necessary.
