Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a CT Technologist to perform routine CT procedures, mentor junior staff, and ensure diagnostic quality in a fast-paced environment at the New Orleans facility.

Qualified candidates will have completed an approved radiologic technology program, be ARRT CT certified or eligible, and hold BLS. The role requires adaptability to shifts, travel between facilities, and strong patient communication.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of CT procedures and technical language; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates CT equipment per protocol.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality; meets regulatory standards.
• Supports departmental operations and schedule coordination.
• Adapt explanation and communication style to patient population.
• Performs other related duties as required.
