Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a CT technologist to assess patients and perform routine CT procedures in line with radiation safety standards. You will mentor junior staff and students while maintaining high diagnostic image quality.

Requirements include completion of an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT CT certification or eligibility, an active state license, and BLS. Flexibility for varied shifts and travel between facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT CT registry certified or registry-eligible within 90 days of employment, with temporary state license.
• Current unrestricted license in state of practice and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician order and procedure for accuracy.
• Use radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explain procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Operate imaging equipment independently per protocol (IV placement).
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Perform timely quality control procedures and remediation as needed.
• Assist in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapt communication and approach to patient population and privacy.
• Perform other related duties as required.
