Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks a CT Technologist in Louisiana to perform routine CT procedures with strict adherence to radiation safety and quality standards. The role includes mentoring junior staff and students while maintaining patient care and imaging quality.

Required are ARRT (CT) and/or NMTCB CNMT certifications, BLS, and strong data entry and communication skills; willingness to work flexible hours is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ARRT RT and radiography/CT certification or CNMT and/or state license.
• Advanced CT certification within two years of employment.
• Clinical CT experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician order and procedure accuracy.
• Operate CT equipment per protocol and position patient, including IV access.
• Explain procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Maintain quality control procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in departmental operations and staff scheduling as needed.
