Job summary

Level II seeks 3+ years of CT experience and cross-sectional anatomy knowledge. Experience with dose optimization and image quality, plus ability to instruct others, is valued.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) CT certification required for Level II; Level I requires ARRT (R) and CT preferred
• BLS within 60 days required
• State licensure in practice state upon hire
• IV competency within 90 days required
• Level II requires 3+ years CT technologist experience and radiation safety knowledge
• Cross-sectional anatomy knowledge and recognizing normal/abnormal variants

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images
• Identify patients, verify orders, prepare patients
• Perform exams per department protocol
• Review images for quality and accuracy
• Maintain radiation safety and a safe environment
• Complete studies within department time expectations
• Educate patients and families and address concerns
• Coordinate patient care and relay information to care team
• Stay updated with CT technology and participate in continuing education
• Instruct students and radiology staff in protocols and equipment
