Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography procedures, ensure patient safety, and deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. You will operate CT equipment, adhere to ALARA principles, and collaborate with the care team to support accurate examinations.

This role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, a radiologic technology program, and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
  • Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures following department protocols, capturing diagnostic images with expertise.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, report issues promptly.
  • Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety and comfort using effective communication techniques like AIDET.
  • Administer contrast, position patients correctly, and review images for diagnostic quality, making adjustments as needed.
  • Document procedures accurately, ensure proper image finalization in RIS/PACS, and manage patient data responsibly.
  • Respond to emergencies, monitor patient conditions, and support safety protocols.
  • Support operational efficiency by organizing workflows, maintaining supplies, and adhering to regulatory standards.
