Job summary

Cherry Hill Free Clinic is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and support patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role focuses on performing CT procedures, maintaining strict safety standards, and collaborating with the radiology team to ensure accurate diagnoses.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT CT certification, at least 1 year of radiology experience, and strong patient communication skills to guide patients through procedures with care and clarity.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
  • ARRT - R, ARRT - CT, and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures following department protocols, ensuring diagnostic image quality while maintaining safety standards.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image clarity and minimize radiation exposure (ALARA).
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and rooms, ensure infection control, and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Obtain clinical histories, verify orders, and screen patients for contraindications.
  • Explain procedures using AIDET, address patient questions, and provide age-appropriate care to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Administer contrast agents via venipuncture when needed, and position patients accurately.
  • Review images for quality, repeat or correct as necessary, and document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS systems.
  • Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment and crash carts.
  • Organize workflows, support departmental operations, maintain a clean environment, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Job description

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
  • Certifications including ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS from the American Heart Association.
