Job summary

Plan A Health is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging in a hospital setting while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will perform CT procedures, operate equipment, administer contrast, and document in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT Radiography and CT certifications are required (BLS preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures following department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Maintain room and equipment cleanliness, report issues promptly.
  • Explain procedures to patients using AIDET to reduce anxiety and ensure comfort.
  • Provide age-appropriate patient care, safety, and privacy.
  • Administer contrast agents and position patients; apply shielding and immobilization.
  • Review images for quality and document procedures in RIS/PACS.
  • Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, assist with life-support equipment.
  • Coordinate daily workflows and support department operations in compliance with standards.

Job description

Role: CT Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and ensuring patient safety at a hospital setting.


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, capturing diagnostic images efficiently and safely.

  • Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to maintain image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.

  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of rooms and equipment, reporting issues promptly.

  • Obtain patient history, verify orders, and prepare patients by explaining procedures using AIDET to reduce anxiety.

  • Provide age-appropriate patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and privacy throughout procedures.

  • Administer contrast agents using proper techniques and position patients correctly, applying shielding and immobilization as needed.

  • Review images for diagnostic quality, repeating or correcting images when necessary, and document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS.

  • Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and assist with maintaining life-support equipment.

  • Coordinate daily workflows, support department operations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.


Qualifications & Skills


  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.

  • Certifications: ARRT in Radiography and CT, BLS from the American Heart Association.

  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
