Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT imaging on a 3x12s or 4x10s schedule. The role is full-time with a $20,000 sign-on bonus and requires completion of a Radiologic Technology program, ARRT CT certification, BLS, and CT experience.

Excellent patient communication and adherence to safety protocols are essential. The position demands proficiency with radiology information systems and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT CT certification or CT registry eligible with timely state licensure.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice and BLS.
• Advanced CT certification within one year of CT registry eligibility.
• Strong knowledge of CT procedures and clinical language.
• Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol (including placement of IV).
• Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Utilizes radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Assists in the facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Other related duties as required.
