Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks a CT Technologist to assess and safely perform routine CT procedures, mentoring junior staff and students. Strong knowledge of CT protocols and patient safety is essential.

Shift pattern is 7 on, 7 off (6pm-6am). Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $30,000. Requires BLS, ARRT (R) and NMTCB certs, and an unrestricted state license with CT certification within two years.

Qualifications

• Required – High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred – Clinical CT experience.
• Required certifications and licensure as specified (BLS, ARRT in radiography, NMTCB or equivalent).
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice; CT certification required within two years.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure accuracy.
• Operates imaging equipment per protocol (including IV placement).
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Performs timely quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Assists in departmental operations and scheduling.
