Job summary

Ochsner Health System Careers is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography procedures, mentor junior staff, and ensure imaging quality and safety. Candidates should have ARRT CT certification, BLS, and completion of an approved radiologic technology program.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, operating CT equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation while ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification or registry eligible with CT certification and state license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of CT procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and ensure accurate procedures.
• Operate CT equipment and position patients per protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Maintain documentation and assist with departmental operations.
