Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, FL is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures per radiologists' protocols. You will prepare and position patients, set parameters, and manage contrast administration while monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.

The role requires Florida radiologic credentials, CT certification, and relevant experience. This is a PRN schedule with opportunities to contribute to a compassionate, faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma equivalency with 2 years cumulative experience OR an associate/technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job experience.

• Prepare and position patients and set appropriate parameters.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications per scope of practice and regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and report any abnormal activity.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• One or more of the following required:

• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job

Additional Preferences:

• CT Certification (RTRCT)

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
