Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville seeks a Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT to perform high-precision imaging procedures following radiologist protocols. You will prepare patients, set anatomical parameters, and administer contrast while ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient well-being, recommending protocol updates, and upholding radiation safety standards in compliance with state regulations. This is a PRN role with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography credential required prior to hire.
• ARRT Computed Tomography credential required prior to hire.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision CT imaging following radiologist protocols.
• Prepare patients and set anatomical parameters for scans and administer contrast.
• Monitor patient status during procedures to ensure safety and well-being.
• Recommend protocol updates to keep the department at the forefront of imaging.
• Uphold radiation safety standards and comply with state regulations.

• Prepare and guide patients through their scans by accurately setting anatomical parameters and administering contrast media, ensuring both clinical excellence and patient safety.
• Monitor patient well-being during every procedure, responding proactively to any changes in status to provide a secure and supportive care environment.
• Collaborate on clinical excellence by recommending protocol updates and refinements, ensuring the department remains at the forefront of imaging technology and safety.
• Uphold rigorous radiation safety standards and state regulations to protect patients and the healthcare team while maintaining high-quality diagnostic output.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

One Or More Of The Following Required

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
