Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Computed Tomography to participate in a full-time schedule with a weekend option (Fri–Sun 07:00–19:00).

Responsibilities include patient positioning, parameter selection, contrast administration, and strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines. The role requires Indiana licensure/registration in radiologic technology with CT specialty credentials or ARRT/NMTCB CT certification within 6 months,

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration requirements for Radiologic Technologist in Indiana.
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire.
• CNMT/ARRT-CT or RNM/ARRT Radiologic CT specialty credentials within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients; select anatomic and technical parameters.
• Administer contrast media within scope and regulations.
• Monitor patient and provide updates to protocols as needed.
• Adhere to radiation safety procedures.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
