Job summary

Ascension Imaging Center in Baltimore is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with precision and patient care. You will prepare and position patients, select CT and other imaging parameters, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients during procedures, administering contrast per regulations, and contributing to protocol improvements for better diagnostic clarity.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 1 month of hire.
• Maryland Board of Physicians Radiologic Technologist credential obtained prior to hire.
• NMTCB (CT) or ARRT CT certification preferred.

• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and administer contrast/media per regulations.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Capture precise diagnostic imaging by accurately preparing and positioning patients and selecting precise anatomic and technical parameters to ensure exceptional image quality.
• Safeguard patient health and safety by strictly adhering to radiation safety protocols and administering contrast media and medications within state and federal regulations.
• Enhance patient comfort and clinical care by continuously monitoring patients throughout procedures, recognizing changes, and immediately reporting any abnormal activity to the care team.
• Optimize clinical imaging standards by evaluating procedure protocols and recommending refinements to continuously improve team workflows and diagnostic clarity.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

One Or More Of The Following

• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
